A corking good result with 200+ links and a significant boost in sales
Updated for 2023: As one of the UK’s leading providers of organic wine, Vintage Roots partnered with Evergreen in the summer of 2018, with the desire to increase the visibility of their ecommerce store.
The Problem
Vintage Roots had been working with another SEO provider for two years and seen little in terms of growth and improvement online. The website had huge potential, but has lost its direction. The wine brand has great products – some very unique in the UK market – but they were not getting seen online. A second issue fell in early 2020 – due to covid-19 – when the brand would have usually seen a summer peak in visitors and sales. The pandemic put pressure on Vintage Roots to respond to the customer shift to online retail and be super visible.
The Solution
For the first three years of working with Vintage Roots, we focused on increasing their online visibility through the use of highly informative, evergreen content that was niche, relevant and focused. Alongside this, we carried out strategic promotion campaigns to combat the challenges of the pandemic and boost authority, gaining 200+ links from a single campaign idea for a “Dream job: summer wine tester”.
Fast forward to 2022 and Vintage Roots are significantly more visible online, achieving first position for some of their highly competitive, primary keywords such as ‘Organic Wines’. In 2022, we have continued to assist the business with the launch of their new website, providing optimisation for their website structure and content marketing, and focusing on the commercial aspects of the site, to ensure their products are front and centre for those looking to purchase.
