Using SEO and Digital PR to deliver 200+ links and increase sales significantly
As one of the UK’s leading providers of organic wine, Vintage Roots came to us in the summer of 2018 as they wanted to increase the visibility of their eCommerce store. We – like for many other eCommerce brands – had to pivot and refocus the SEO strategy when the brand faced a global pandemic and lockdown during its busiest sales period of the year…
Vintage Roots had been working with another SEO provider for two years and seen little in terms of growth and improvement online. The website had huge potential, but has lost its direction. The wine brand has great products – some very unique in the UK market – but they were not getting seen online. A second issue fell in early 2020 – due to covid-19 – when the brand would have usually seen a summer peak in visitors and sales. The pandemic put pressure on Vintage Roots to respond to the customer shift to online retail and be super visible.
Summer is peak season for Vintage Roots; so we had to act fast to not miss the peak of key traffic. We quickly put together a clear plan of how to increase the online visibility online with an SEO eCommerce campaign. The team got to work creating highly informative content that was niche, relevant and focused. After the website was technically improved, we moved onto the next SEO stage and built a digital PR calendar to build links and authority for the site. Digital PR became the main solution during the coronavirus pandemic, as the brand had lots of new online competitors so needed as many links to boost authority and visibility as possible.
