How many keywords should each page target?

Targeting keywords is a great idea but thinking about it too much can lead to clunky content, and that’s not what Google wants to serve to searchers. Think about some of the main terms you’d like to try to rank for, list them, and then create quality content around them. Use the words naturally as you write and your content could well rank for long-tail keywords that you use in your copy, too. Aim for a main keyword and then related keywords for the subsequent headings. As a rule, use your main keyword in the title and heading 1 tag and then subsequent keyword in the headings and copy. Write in a conversational way so the reader can easily understand.
