Like to take in your SEO news in video form? No problem! Here on The Evergreen Agency blog we’ve thought of everything, scouring the net to bring you news in ‘old-fashioned’ blog post style, via picture-based infographics and, last but not least, video. If you prefer the latter as a means of keeping up-to-date, you’ve landed on our blog on the right day.

Got an idea for a new business perhaps? It’s important you start as you mean to go on – and if you’re to have any chance of being found on Google, it all starts with the domain name. So that’s exactly where this blog by SEO Nick comes in.

The piece: ‘How to Choose a Domain Name for Maximum SEO’ gives you all the information you’re looking for to help you get the most out of the search engine optimisation process. SEO “isn’t something you can slap together,” says Nick, going on to say that “it usually calls for an abundance of professional help.”

The HubSpot team posted a pretty similar post over on its site recently, too. ‘The Anatomy of a Search-friendly URL’ tells all about that all-important domain name and why it requires a little bit of thought.

“Before we publish anything on the HubSpot blog, we always take a minute to optimize its URL for both our readers and search engines.” so says the blog’s author. And it really does make a lot of sense, she says, adding: “while your URL structure isn’t the be-all-end-all of your SEO efforts, using SEO-friendly URLs on your site can give you an edge over your competitors in search.”

We thought you might want to check out this piece by its author, Neil Patel. In it, he asks ‘Does keyword research even matter anymore?’ Neil says you probably already know about keyword research, as it’s pretty much standard SEO practice.

That said, search engines aren’t only looking at keywords today, says Neil. They’re looking at a host of other factors, too – and you can find out exactly what Neil’s talking about by clicking the link (above).

And finally, published today (Monday) just a handful of hours ago, we thought we’d share this post with you. It’s Relevance’s digital predictions for the remainder of 2016 and it’s well worth a look.
