Their marketing challenge

Nu Look operates in a very competitive space. A ‘lead’ could be worth many thousands of pounds if that person becomes a customer. The problem is, their competitors know this as much as Nu Look does and the result is very expensive clicks from paid ads.

Andy the owner came to us having tried and failed to make Google Ads and Meta Ads work with several agencies. His biggest gripe was the lack of consistency and quality of the leads in their business.

They had a sizeable ad budget (six figures) but results were hit ‘n’ miss. The route to success as we saw it was all about the targeting. The location targeting needed reigning in. The keyword targeting needed scaling back. To make this work, we needed to focus on the ‘best’ customers, not all customers.

Nu Look has been turning unusable spaces into comfortable and versatile rooms for years and we focused our creative strategy around this principle. The results? A wide-ranging set of creative ads that we’re using across Google Ads and Meta Ads to grow their business.

Our creative team has been to Nu Look’s very impressive Northampton showroom to film as well as many of their happy customers to show the transformations in progress.

The results (so far)

We’ve seen a 20% increase in reported leads on the same level of spend, simply by focusing on what works best. We’ve reduced the area we’re targeting and the keywords we’re optimising for.

We know how the highest converting leads search and we’re focusing our efforts on this. The result is a business that despite struggling to ‘make Google Ads work’ for years, is now bucking the trend and growing year-on-year despite the sector having a perceived tough time.

Sometimes it’s not about being too clever, success can be born out of simply thinking logically and doing the basics really well.
