When was the last time you had an idea and just went for it?

No hesitation. No procrastination. No overthinking.

For me, it was last Sunday morning. I woke up with an idea.

“We should create an Evergreen Christmas ad” I thought to myself.

I lay in bed and let my mind wander, and before long a story/narrative was forming in my head.

24 hours later I was in the office with my team having our usual Monday morning meeting and got to our AOB (any other business) part of the meeting.

I chimed in “I’ve had an idea but if we’re to do it, we’ll need to be quick”.

Fortunately, my team love taking action as much as I do.

I pitched my idea to them, and they loved it and quickly started expanding on my idea, making it even better than what I’d come up with.

When we like something, we take action.

Darren, Archie and I cleared our diaries for the next day and we were off to bring our idea to life.

As I write this week’s T.E.A Break to you, my creative team are over the other side of the office rapidly editing the footage we’ve captured this week.

We’ve got another shoot to do on Saturday and then we’ll have created what I know is going to be a fantastic little Christmas ad that will aim to:

  • Showcase who we are
  • Highlight what we do
  • Build know, like and trust

All with our target audience firmly in our mind.

I’ve set a deadline to launch our Christmas ad on Monday 25th November simply because that’s exactly a month until the big day.

This Christmas ad is just the latest in a long list of examples I could share where we’ve taken action.

We’re very good at taking action. We rarely hesitate. I don’t do procrastination and haven’t got time to overthink things.

We just do. Sometimes it fails, and sometimes it works spectacularly well.

Either way, we take action and we grow Evergreen. So I ask you again, when was the last time you had an idea and just went for it?
