Grilling up great paid media results with a 10x increase in sales

Steak Stones call themselves ‘The home of hot stone cooking’ and we think that sums them up perfectly.

Their paid media problem

Nick the owner of Steak Stones first got in touch with us by applying to come on our Grow with Evergreen podcast. Our discussion was a fascinating insight into a great business, but one that had lost its way due to terrible advice from a number of web development and marketing agencies.

This was a business that had gone from turning £1,000,000 in annual sales to less than £300,000 due to a negligible website migration and poorly executed paid media campaigns.

Steak Stones quickly became a client after the podcast recording and work began on getting this business and its five websites (one for the UK, the US, Australia, Europe and Canada) back on track.

We knew the recipe for success for this business (terrible pun, but we couldn’t resist) was to optimise Google Shopping with a branded Search campaign and then Meta Ads to retarget and stay top of mind with the target audience.

Getting creative

With the right marketing, we knew these products would sell themselves. Our creative team got to work creating visually stunning ads that placed the product front and centre.

We’re running Steak Stones ads across Meta, Google and YouTube. Every one of their ads look great and show potential customers another way to cook their steak just how they like it.

Their results (so far)

In July 2024 when Nick came on our podcast his business reported total sales of just £8,000 due to the myriad of errors and problems he was dealing with. Nick became an Evergreen client in August 2024 and in the month of November, his sales were £85,000+. A 10 x increase in the first four months of working together. Steak Stones was back! In December 2024 Nick reported revenue of £135,000+ as we helped him capitalise on Christmas trading. Nick reported back that December 2024 was his “third best month ever in 14 years of trading”. What a turnaround and as ever it remains a work in progress.
