Hot tubs aren’t just for holidays anymore. With over 350,000 rigid hot tubs in the UK and a market worth over £200 million, more people than ever are investing in wellness and home luxury. But in a high-ticket, long-consideration category, success comes down to visibility, relevance, and trust.

Aqua Warehouse, the largest indoor hot tub and swim spa showroom in the South of England, came to us in early 2024 with a challenge: their ads weren’t working. And no one knew why.

The audit that changed everything

From the outside, Aqua looked like they were doing all the right things. They were running Google and Meta ads. They had a strong brand and an impressive showroom. But the results weren’t coming in.

When we looked under the hood, the problems were clear:

  • No tracking in place – calls, forms, and showroom directions were invisible.
  • Campaigns used broad match keywords with no location targeting.
  • Ad spend was too low to compete in a high-consideration space.
  • Creative assets weren’t doing justice to the premium product.

What they needed wasn’t more spend. It was strategy.

A new approach: focused, full-funnel, and local

We rebuilt everything, starting with clean tracking and solid foundations. Once we could measure results, we shifted the targeting to capture high-intent buyers in the local area.

This wasn’t about volume. It was about quality. People buying a rigid hot tub aren’t looking for bargains; they’re looking for brands they trust. So we positioned Aqua accordingly.

Meanwhile, we mapped out a full-funnel strategy to guide customers through the 3-month journey most take before making a purchase. Search ads built demand. Meta ads kept the brand top-of-mind.

The power of creative that actually sells

Once the strategy was in place, it was time to grab attention.

We visited the showroom, met the team, and got to know the brand inside out. Then we put Richard, the owner, front and centre. He was funny, real, and instantly likeable, which made him perfect on camera.

Our creative team built out a suite of ads:

  • Lifestyle-led content showing hot tubs in use
  • UGC-style social footage for Meta
  • Product walk-throughs and showroom videos featuring Richard himself

It worked because it felt genuine. Customers saw the same person online and in-store. And they remembered it.

Real results, not vanity metrics

The shift was dramatic. In just a few weeks, Aqua saw performance skyrocket.

  • 34 tracked leads in September (vs just 2 the previous year)
  • 3 hot tubs sold per week during winter – a period that’s usually quiet
  • Customers started referencing the ads when they visited the showroom

One campaign turned into something bigger. Richard’s trust gave us the freedom to experiment, iterate, and build momentum.

From hot tubs to outdoor living

Half a year in, Aqua was thriving—and Richard had a new idea. He wanted to launch a separate brand for outdoor kitchens, saunas, and garden buildings: Hacienda Outdoor Living.

So, we shifted gears.

We captured fresh creative, built a separate identity, and launched new campaigns for this new audience. Because we already understood the brand and the buyer, the process moved fast. And the results followed.

Why it worked (and still does)

This wasn’t just a good campaign. It was a true partnership.

Richard was engaged, open, and collaborative. He communicated regularly and gave clear commercial feedback, helping us refine the work and double down on what mattered.
In return, we were transparent, proactive, and focused on results. It’s the kind of relationship that transforms good marketing into business growth.
