Big things are happening at The Evergreen Agency! In this edition of Evergreen Uncut, we’re pulling back the curtain on our latest moves as we ramp up for an epic 2024.

We’ve got two major senior roles open right now that we’re aiming to fill ASAP – a Google Search Manager and a Paid Social Manager. These will be pivotal hires as we double down on our paid media prowess and expand our expertise across Google ads, Microsoft ads, YouTube, Meta, TikTok, and more.

Our interview process starts with a 10-15 minute “preliminary” video call. This lets us quickly gauge cultural fit and get a sense of the person beyond just their resume. If there’s a click, we’ll bring them in for an intensive in-person interview. It’s an approach we’ve honed over many years of hiring, and these initial calls are absolute gold for saving time and energy.

With our laser-focused speciality in the home, garden and lifestyle space, our new business efforts have been galvanizing lately. Brands are really responding to the fact that we’ve worked in this niche for years and know it inside out. It’s allowing us to have much more targeted, relevant sales conversations.

That said, we’re definitely feeling the hesitancy in the market right now. There’s a reluctance to sign new deals amidst economic uncertainty. We’re having to work extra hard and be extra patient to get prospects over the line. But our specialized positioning is a massive advantage.

One of the most exciting developments has been the expansion of our Creative Services – videography, motion graphics, graphic design, photography, and more. We’ve dabbled in this space for ages, but we’re now going all-in with a full creative team, studio space, and robust offerings.

It’s something clients have been clamouring for, and we wish we’d dived into creative services sooner! Why? We’re having an absolute blast, whether it’s producing slick branded videos, crafting animated social ads, or capturing beautiful product photography. In the video above, we give you a quick behind-the-scenes tour of the creative studio we’ve built.

We’ve transformed part of our office into a dedicated creative zone, complete with a video set for filming our “T.E.A Talks” episodes (you gotta check those out on YouTube!). Darren, our videographer extraordinaire, has the whole place dialled in with his gear setup, lighted backdrop, and all the fixings.

For too long, we shied away from creative services because we saw ourselves more as a tech-focused digital agency. But in today’s climate, brands are desperate for standout creative content to break through the noise. We’re perfectly positioned to provide that missing piece along with our workhorse paid media and digital strategy offerings.
