It’s the first week back to work for most of us.

We’ve had an incredibly busy first few days of the year here at the Evergreen HQ.

We’re onboarding new team members and new clients, and I’m talking to the many new prospects who reached out to us over the festive break (and that never normally happens).

As my attention turned to writing this week’s T.E.A. break newsletter, I started thinking about what was top of mind for me this week, that I could share with you.

I could write about the importance of finding great people… (we have brought in some incredible talent to join us for 2025).

I could write about the incredible client successes we saw in December now the numbers are in (some of the stats are mind-boggling).

I could write about my plans/predictions for 2025, which I thought about doing this week.

But then, as I sat here with the cursor pulsating on my screen waiting for me to type, I decided to go deeper and share with you what I’m feeling most prominently right now.

After more than a decade running my business, I feel like I’ve found the secret to success.

My business remains a work in progress don’t get me wrong. I think it always will be.

But, in business, we all need a little momentum, a little success now and then, to remind us that it’s all worth it.

I do think there is a secret to success.

But finding it is one of the hardest things to do in business (certainly has been for me).

For me, the secret to success has come down to the Four Cs.

Content x Consistency x Creative x Character

In early 2024 I recruited a videographer, who quickly became my Head of Creative (Darren).

We decided to use video to build the Evergreen brand.

Last year we created a lot of content.

We were as consistent as clockwork, never missing a beat when it came to publishing our content.

We let our creativity run wild in everything we produced.

We ensured our personalities and character shone brightly in everything we did.

The impact of us doing this has been incredible.

We launched T.E.A Talks to share our expertise on a range of paid media and creative topics.

We started the Grow with Evergreen Podcast and have since had dozens of business owners join us for some fantastic conversations.

We turned the cameras on to share the behind-the-scenes of our agency via Evergreen Uncut.

We created two ads, a summer ad, and a Christmas ad.

In total, there are now over 500 videos on our YouTube channel (yep, you read that right).

It’s been a huge undertaking and hundreds of hours work.

But the harder we work, the luckier we get.

It’s been my secret to success.

The funny thing is, the work hasn’t changed. We’ve always been brilliant at paid media and creative.

Only now, we’re creating content about it, we’re doing it consistently and and we’re showing our character, which is making all of the difference to our business.

As we start 2025, I want to build on the success we had last year.

So, what are we doing? We’re focusing even more on the Four Cs.

More content. More consistency. More creative. With more character.

We’ve got some incredible plans for 2025 when it comes to our content, so stay tuned.

I do believe leveraging content in some way, being consistent, letting your creativity shine and not being afraid to showcase your character will help your efforts.
